Snow day at Red Rock

On our snow day, Jody and I took an outing to Red Rock to look at the beautiful scenery and it definitely didn't disappoint.

Hell Has Frozen Over!!!

Check out our snow!! We currently, as of 4pm today have about 3 inches of snow with up to 6 expected! My neighbor said he's been here for 27 years and never seen anything like it. I heard on the radio that we haven't had significant snow accumulation on the valley floor since 1960 something. The kids were going crazy asking me if we could do a "snow lab" and go play outside. Maybe we'll have a snow day tomorrow!! I guess they have shut down the main highway that goes between Las Vegas and Los Angeles because it goes through a few mountain passes.

Sled Riders (very tiny on the top of the dune) Nomadic Sled riders (very tiny on ridge line) Carter, the son of my cousin Todd and his wife Sarah loves to be talked to and even tries to participate. I have a feeling he's going to be a chatterbox when he grows up. (pic at bottom) I've also included some pics from when my Aunt Julie and Uncle Don came out to Vegas and I took them out to the Mojave Preserve on the Nevada - California border. See if you can find the nomadic sled riders on the dunes. Old Passenger Station - last saw passengers in 1997.

A few of you have been asking what Arrow looks like these days. I think he's pretty much full grown. As you can see, he loves to de-stuff his toys.

Chad and Jody Tie the Knot!

Our friends Chad and Jody, who we've known since our days back climbing in West Virginia, got married last weekend here in Las Vegas. The ceremony was right outside of Red Rock Canyon, then the reception was a big party back at their beautiful place.
