I'm not sure what this is - some sort of sage?
Hedgehog cactus blooms.
This is a bush in our side yard...
(Below) we are really happy to see that many of our cacti have buds on them - we're especially happy that the couple that weren't looking very good seem to be growing as well.
Not sure what this is but it was a nice surprise out of what looked like a patch of weeds! That's one of my favorite things about the desert, things can look completely dead or uninteresting most of the year and then all of a sudden they bloom!
I hope all is well for all of you. I'm looking forward to summer, not for the heat, but for all of the fun stuff that lies ahead! (except for the fact that I'll probably only see Adam for about a total of 2 weeks :().
Lots of Love and keep in touch!

Beautiful! I'm so happy to see some of the cactus that we thought were dead sprouting new buds :-)
The wildflowers here in Greece seem to be in full bloom too and it's cool to see so many new (at least to me) ones.
Pictures are great! Are they just from your cell phone?
Love you,
Adam
Gorgeous! Can you really pick the flowers? Like, to bring inside?
Looks like we will be coming in last as far as spring flower pics are concerned. After cleaning up the garden beds this weekend we can see some life and color emerging, even if a little reluctantly for fear of more snow. Hope to share some NY flower pics soon. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing you and Oscar!
Great post! That's quite the variety of prickly things you have! Pretty but prickly. Prickly but pretty. Any way you cut it, a very cool landscape.
Amazing how much can change in just a few weeks. Beautiful!
Pat
